Venue
The official hotel and venue for the BEM 2026 conference is the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort.
Accommodations
Room blocks are available in the Marriot hotel as well as the adjacent Embassy Suites by Hilton. Both hotels are part of the Cavalier resort located on the north end of the Virginia Beach boardwalk overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. We have arranged a discounted room rate of $124 per room per night plus taxes (16.5%) and fees ($2 per night occupancy tax). The room rate expires on 2/1/2026.
When you book online, a resort fee ($30/day) is added on top of the room rate, but the resort fee will be waived upon arrival at the hotel. Your stay includes access to resort activities (indoor pool, gym, bike rentals, etc).
If you choose to stay at the Marriott, the rate is the same no matter how many occupants. If you choose to stay at Embassy Suites, your stay includes a made-to-order breakfast buffet as well as 2 drinks at the Executive Happy Hour. The room rate only applies for 2 guests per room. Three or more guests per room will incur a $35 per person charge.
During check-in, guests will need to provide a method of payment, preferably credit or debit. If you need to charge the hotel directly to a grant/index without a card, then you will need to contact the hotel ahead of time and sign a Certify Form prior to arrival.
Guests need to sign an authorization for incidentals ($100/night at Marriott, $150/night at Embassy Suites) and authorize a method of payment during check-in. If no incidentals are incurred, funds will be reimbursed after checkout.
Transportation
The venue is conveniently located only 20 minutes away from the Norfolk International Airport (ORF). If you choose to drive to the venue, parking rates are as follows:
- 0-3 hours - $3/hour
- 3-6 hours - $15 flat
- 6-10 hours - $20 flat
- 10-24 hours - $30 flat
